This project began because we discovered in 2019, that many children in our neighborhood go to school without food while others go with unhealthy food. This makes kids tired, unfocused, jittery, and sick—which not only impacts their grades and performance but also influences their behavior and moods.
In addition to providing breakfast for the children, we also meet their parents once a month to discuss the importance of healthy nutritive food for children. Most of these parents are poor, with low income and high cost of housing.
